Jet2 emergency landing in Porto

Jet2 flight LS1266, traveling from Tenerife to Birmingham, was forced to make an emergency landing in Porto on Saturday after the pilot suffered a suspected heart attack.

Passengers described a terrifying mid-air ordeal, reporting a sudden drop in altitude and seeing cabin crew members in tears as they rushed to provide assistance.

The aircraft landed safely in Portugal, where the pilot was met by emergency medical services and taken to a local hospital.

Over 200 passengers were left stranded for more than 13 hours while the airline arranged for a replacement crew and aircraft to complete the journey.
