Wildcard Fery Storms Into Wimbledon Quarters

British wildcard Arthur Fery stunned veteran Grigor Dimitrov in a five-set thriller to become the first British male wildcard in 33 years to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final.

Fery, who plays on his 24th birthday the day of the final, could yet spend that day on Centre Court.

He was in disbelief that Roger Federer was in the royal box watching his historic moment.

Italian stars Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli also advanced.
