Kanye West postpones French show

The office of French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez had been exploring legal paths to block West from performing in Marseille, citing his history of controversial statements.

West, now legally known as Ye, announced the postponement on social media, stating the move came after much consideration.

The Marseille show was scheduled for June at the Velodrome, but local officials and activist groups had campaigned against the event.

This latest setback continues a pattern of international venues and governments distancing themselves from the artist due to his public conduct.
