US sanctions India-based firms to punish Iran

The United States has sanctioned four India-based companies and three Indian nationals as part of its ongoing efforts to punish Iran.

The firms were among 60 entities penalized in the latest round of sanctions targeting Iranian networks.

The move highlights the global reach of US sanctions enforcement.

India has not yet formally responded to the sanctions.
