Venezuela Marks One Month Since Deadly Quakes

Venezuelans held a minute of silence one month after 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes killed 5,546 people and injured nearly 17,000.

Aid workers described a continuing humanitarian crisis with damaged schools, health facilities, and water systems leaving communities without essential services.

The tremors on June 24 were the deadliest in the countryโ€™s recent history.

Recovery efforts remain hampered by economic collapse and international sanctions.
