Israeli strikes kill Lebanese journalist
Khalil, a reporter for the Al-Akhbar newspaper, was reportedly taking cover in a house when it was struck by Israeli missiles.
Rescue teams were initially blocked from reaching the scene by ongoing fire, leading to further condemnation from international press advocates.
The incident occurred as Israel and Hezbollah continue to exchange fire along the border, straining a fragile ten-day ceasefire.
The Lebanese health ministry has reported that over 62,000 housing units have been damaged or destroyed since the conflict resumed in early March.
