11 rescued after plane crash
The private flight from the Bahamas went down just 20 minutes after departure, forcing the pilot to perform an emergency water landing as a storm approached.
All 11 people on board survived the impact and managed to deploy a lifeboat before the aircraft sank.
A U.S. Air Force rescue crew located the survivors and airlifted them to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The pilot, Ian Nixon, has been credited with saving the lives of his passengers through his quick and decisive actions during the crisis.
