Singer D4vd charged with murder

Prosecutors in Los Angeles have formally charged 21-year-old David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, with first-degree murder and continuous sexual abuse.

The charges follow a seven-month investigation into the disappearance of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found in the singer's impounded vehicle.

Burke pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Monday, where he faced additional counts of unlawful mutilation of human remains.

Due to the special circumstances of the case, the singer could face the death penalty or life without the possibility of parole.
