Miami Vice '85 Reboot Confirmed

The new 'Miami Vice' project will return the franchise to its roots, exploring the glamour and corruption of mid-80s Miami in a period-accurate setting.

Michael B. Jordan will portray Ricardo Tubbs, while Austin Butler takes on the role of Sonny Crockett, originally made famous by Don Johnson.

Director Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on 'Top Gun: Maverick,' will film the production specifically for IMAX theaters.

The movie is scheduled for an August 2027 release, aiming to capture the high-octane energy and stylish aesthetic that defined the original NBC series.
