US Blockades Iranian Ports

President Donald Trump has ordered a comprehensive U.S. naval blockade of all maritime traffic entering or departing Iranian ports after marathon ceasefire talks in Pakistan failed to produce a breakthrough.

The blockade, enforced by at least 13 warships, aims to choke off Tehran's economic lifeline and pressure the regime into a long-term nuclear deal.

Iran has responded by labeling the move an act of piracy and threatening retaliation against neighboring Gulf ports, sending global oil prices surging back above $100 per barrel.

European and NATO allies have largely declined to participate in the action, favoring continued diplomatic engagement to avoid a wider regional conflict.
