Artemis II crew fixes space toilet
NASA's Artemis II mission encountered its first major technical hurdle when the Orion spacecraft's toilet malfunctioned shortly after entering Earth orbit.
The crew, led by Commander Reid Wiseman, worked with ground controllers overnight to resolve the plumbing issue, which is the first of its kind on a deep-space vehicle.
With the facilities restored, the four-person crew is preparing for a high-stakes engine firing that will propel them at 25,000 mph toward the lunar far side.
This mission represents the first time humans have ventured toward the moon since the conclusion of the Apollo program in 1972.
