Trump Renews Greenland Demand at NATO

President Trump renewed his call for the United States to control Greenland during the NATO summit, calling the territory a “big problem for America” and linking future US troop levels in Europe to a deal on the island.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen firmly rejected the demand, stating Denmark was ready to defend the autonomous region.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton dismissed Trump’s remarks as a deliberate attempt to provoke reactions, saying the president often makes such statements “because it drives people crazy.” The renewed threat has reopened Europe’s deepest fears about American reliability.
