Iran rejects new peace talks

Despite President Trump's announcement that a US delegation would travel to Pakistan for talks, Iran has signaled it will not attend.

The Iranian parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, stated that while diplomacy is not dead, a significant gap remains between the two nations.

Trump has countered by threatening to destroy Iranian infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, if a deal is not reached.

The current two-week ceasefire is set to expire on Tuesday night, leaving the region on the brink of renewed conflict.
