Steelers draft Drew Allar

The Pittsburgh Steelers have added a significant piece to their future offense by selecting Penn State quarterback Drew Allar with the 76th pick in the NFL Draft.

Allar, who threw for over 7,400 yards in his college career, is viewed as the potential heir apparent to veteran Aaron Rodgers.

The selection comes amid growing speculation about Rodgers' longevity with the franchise following an injury-plagued 2025 season.

Head coach Mike McCarthy emphasized that Allar will have the opportunity to develop without immediate pressure, learning behind one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history.
