Spain Wildfire Kills 12

The fire, which began on Friday, has destroyed homes, vehicles, and swathes of forest land.

Twelve victims have been confirmed, many of whom perished in their cars while trying to flee.

Firefighters aided by 32 aircraft have managed to slow the blaze, but high temperatures and winds continue to pose a threat.

The government has declared a state of emergency and pledged aid to affected communities.
