King Charles Reveals £30 Million Tax Bill
Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that King Charles III will not live at the palace after its decade-long, £369 million refurbishment is completed next year, breaking a tradition stretching back nearly two centuries.
The King and Queen Camilla will instead remain at Clarence House.
In an unprecedented disclosure, the Palace revealed that Charles has paid more than £30 million in personal taxes since ascending the throne in 2022.
The Sovereign Grant, the monarchy's core funding, will be set at £99.9 million for 2027-28, marking a new chapter in royal financial transparency.
