Kash Patel faces alcohol probe
The letter from eighteen Democratic lawmakers cites reports of Patel's behavior at a private D.C. club and during the Winter Olympics as grounds for the investigation.
Patel has denied all allegations of misconduct, including a viral video of him celebrating with members of Team USA. Meanwhile, a federal judge in Texas has dismissed a separate defamation suit Patel brought against a former MSNBC analyst.
The FBI is also facing criticism after it was revealed that agents investigated a New York Times reporter who was probing Patel's use of government resources to protect his girlfriend.
