Haiti fortress stampede kills 25

The Haitian government has declared three days of national mourning following the incident at the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the panic, which broke out on the steep paths leading to the mountaintop fortress.

Emergency services struggled to reach the remote location, and many of the injured remain in critical condition.

The event has raised serious questions about crowd management and safety protocols at major tourist attractions in the country.
