The actress will portray a new character specifically developed for her by Mike White, marking a reunion for the pair who previously collaborated on 'Enlightened.' Dern's casting follows the sudden departure of Helena Bonham Carter, who left the production due to creative differences as filming got underway in Saint-Tropez.
