Netherlands Thrash Sweden 5-1 in Houston

Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo each scored twice as the Netherlands demolished Sweden 5-1 in Houston to move top of World Cup Group F and all but secure a place in the last 32.

The Dutch followed up their 5-1 opening win over Tunisia with another display of attacking brilliance.

Sweden had also won their first match but were comprehensively outplayed by a rampant Oranje side.

The result left the Netherlands in pole position to win the group and underlined their credentials as one of the tournament's most exciting teams.
