Machado plans presidential run

María Corina Machado, the prominent Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel laureate, has declared her commitment to challenging the current regime in future elections.

Speaking from Panama, Machado stated her goal is to return to Venezuela before the end of 2026 to lead a renewed democratic movement.

She emphasized the need for international support to ensure fair electoral conditions and addressed the challenges of organizing from exile.

Her announcement comes as the Trump administration reportedly considers increasing pressure on the Venezuelan government.
