Pahlaj Nihalani, Filmmaker, Dies at 76

Veteran Indian film producer and former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani has died at 76 due to liver cirrhosis.

Known for launching Govinda's career, he left a significant mark on Bollywood.

His passing has prompted tributes from numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Saif Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, and Shatrughan Sinha.

Nihalani's tenure as CBFC chief was controversial, often criticized for strict censorship, which some argue represented the darkest days of Indian film censorship.
