Rider dies at North West 200

Tragedy has struck the North West 200 road races in Northern Ireland after a competitor was killed during a Superbike qualifying session.

The rider, whose identity has not yet been officially released, was involved in a high-speed accident that prompted an immediate red flag.

Despite the rapid response of medical teams and transport to a Belfast hospital, the injuries proved fatal.
