West Virginia Chemical Leak Kills Two

Two workers have died following a 'chemical release' at a manufacturing facility in Institute, West Virginia.

The leak, identified as hydrogen sulfide, occurred on Wednesday while staff were cleaning the site in preparation for a partial shutdown.

Nineteen additional people, including several emergency responders, were hospitalized for treatment, with one person reported in critical condition.

Authorities issued a temporary shelter-in-place order for the 'chemical valley' region as investigators began probing the cause of the violent reaction.
