ICE Agent Arrested for Shooting

Federal immigration agent Christian Castro has been arrested in Texas in connection with a non-fatal shooting during a January raid in Minneapolis.

Castro was charged with assault and falsely reporting a crime after claiming he fired in self-defense, a statement later debunked by surveillance video.

The victim, a Venezuelan national, was struck in the leg during the operation known as 'Metro Surge.' Castro is the second federal agent to face criminal charges related to their conduct during the controversial Minnesota immigration enforcement campaign.
