Meta to cut 8,000 jobs

In its latest round of significant layoffs, Meta is preparing to let go of thousands of workers as it pivots its strategy toward AI-driven growth.

Chief People Officer Janelle Gale informed staff that the reductions will take place on May 20, with the company also closing 6,000 open job listings.
