Activists Clash at Beagle Lab
The protest was the second attempt in two months to liberate dogs from the facility, which is licensed to breed beagles for biomedical testing.
Activists reportedly navigated a manure-filled trench and barbed-wire fences to reach the lab before being intercepted by the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
Approximately 25 protesters were arrested, including the group's leader, as tensions boiled over.
The facility has denied allegations of animal abuse, while campaigners continue to demand a government phase-out of animal testing.
