Congress Demands Probe into Ram Temple Donation Theft

Indian opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding an independent investigation into the alleged theft of millions of rupees in donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple.

The Congress leaders said the public's faith had been 'betrayed' and called for the temple trust's accounts to be made public.

They described the government's silence on the matter as 'unacceptable' and urged Modi to order an immediate probe.

The allegations of misappropriation of donations have become a major political flashpoint.
