EasyJet warns of fuel cost hit
The Luton-based carrier EasyJet revealed that the Middle East conflict has significantly impacted its financial performance, driving up jet fuel prices and creating uncertainty in customer demand.
The airline noted that passengers are increasingly delaying bookings due to the volatile economic environment.
In addition to fuel costs, EasyJet is facing £30 million in increased legal provisions for historic cases.
Despite these challenges, the company is maintaining its summer capacity plans while closely monitoring the availability of fuel supplies across Europe.
