Alexandre Ramagem Detained by ICE
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained Alexandre Ramagem, a key ally of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
Ramagem was convicted in September for his involvement in a scheme to prevent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from taking office.
He had been on the run for six months before being located in the United States.
Brazilian officials are now expected to seek his extradition to serve his prison sentence.
