Mexico Pyramid Shooting Investigation

Mexico Pyramid Shooting Investigation

A horrific shooting at one of Mexico's most iconic tourist sites has left one dead and several others, including six Americans, injured.

Investigators have identified the shooter as 27-year-old Julio César Jasso, who allegedly ranted about human sacrifice before opening fire atop the Pyramid of the Moon.

Evidence found at the scene suggests the attacker was influenced by U.S. mass shootings and timed the event to coincide with Hitler's birthday.

President Claudia Sheinbaum has promised a thorough investigation and stricter security measures ahead of this summer's World Cup.
