UK Pledges 150,000 Drones to Kyiv

The British government said the package, worth nearly $1 billion, is part of a long-term commitment to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.

The drones will include reconnaissance and attack models, and the air defense systems are intended to protect Ukrainian cities from Russian missile and drone barrages.

The move drew praise from President Zelenskyy and intensified the debate in Western capitals over how far to go in arming Ukraine.

It follows a similar announcement by Australia, which pledged an extra $100 million in military aid.
