Lebanese Journalist Killed by Israel

The death of veteran journalist Amal Khalil has sparked international condemnation and intensified calls for an investigation into the targeting of media workers.

Khalil was killed when an Israeli missile struck a residence in the village of Tyre, leaving her trapped under rubble for several hours.

Lebanon's Prime Minister has labeled the incident a war crime, asserting that Israeli attacks on journalists are no longer isolated events.

The Israeli military has stated it is reviewing the incident but maintains its operations are focused on Hezbollah targets.
