Pope Leo XIV visits Cameroon

Pope Leo XIV visits Cameroon

Marking the halfway point of his four-nation Africa tour, Pope Leo XIV used his platform in Cameroon's economic hub to denounce the uneven distribution of wealth and the 'material and spiritual poverty' affecting millions.

The visit comes amid heightened security following recent attacks and a war of words between the Vatican and the Trump administration over the conflict in Iran.

Leo's homily, delivered in both French and English, cited the multiplication of loaves to encourage perseverance and faith among the Catholic faithful.

The Pope is scheduled to travel to Angola on Saturday as Catholicism continues to see rapid growth across the African continent.
