Pope Leo XIV winds up Africa tour

Throughout his 11-day journey, the Pope has been a vocal critic of social injustice, particularly in countries with vast natural resources but high poverty rates.

His visit to Equatorial Guinea was the first papal trip to the country since 1982 and was attended by an estimated 100,000 people.

The tour began amid criticism from President Trump, but the pontiff used his platform to advocate for the common good over private interests.

Leo's final message emphasized the need for education to serve truth and the bridging of gaps between the privileged and the disadvantaged.
