Omaha Police Kill Kidnapping Suspect

A terrifying incident at an Omaha Walmart ended in a fatal officer-involved shooting after a woman took a toddler hostage.

Authorities say Noemi Guzman stole a large knife from the store and attacked the three-year-old boy before fleeing to the parking lot.

Body camera footage captured the moment officers confronted Guzman, who refused to drop the weapon while holding it near the child's face.

Two officers fired their weapons, killing the suspect and allowing the boy to be rescued.

The Nebraska State Patrol is now leading the investigation into the shooting.
