Supreme Court Rejects Trump’s Carroll Appeal

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear President Donald Trump’s bid to overturn a $5 million judgment that he sexually abused and defamed writer E. Jean Carroll.

The justices turned away Trump’s appeal after a lower court upheld the 2023 jury verdict, which found him liable for sexual assault and defamation.

Trump vowed to “continue the fight,” but the decision effectively ends his quest to avoid accountability in the case.

Carroll’s attorney said the ruling “ends his quest to avoid accountability for his actions.”
