Israel-Lebanon talks to resume
Despite ongoing pressure from Hezbollah and Iranian proxies, the Lebanese government has confirmed its participation in upcoming peace talks with Israel.
President Joseph Aoun has appointed a new diplomatic team to lead the negotiations, emphasizing Lebanon's intent to act independently of external influence.
The discussions will focus on establishing a secure border and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied villages.
While a fragile ten-day ceasefire remains in effect, residents on both sides of the border remain wary of a return to open conflict.
