Kristoffer Reitan wins Truist Championship

Norway's Kristoffer Reitan has claimed his maiden PGA Tour title with a gritty final-round performance at the Truist Championship.

Reitan shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday to finish 15-under par, holding off a late charge from Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Hojgaard.

The 27-year-old took the lead for good with a crucial birdie on the 15th hole, securing a two-shot victory and a significant jump in the world rankings.

The win makes Reitan only the second Norwegian to win on the tour, following in the footsteps of Viktor Hovland, and guarantees his spot in the upcoming PGA Championship.
