Deadly mass shooting in Louisiana

The massacre, described by authorities as execution-style, spanned multiple locations and left two women critically injured.

Shamar Elkins, an Army veteran, reportedly carried out the attack after his wife discovered a betrayal and demanded a divorce.

Investigations are currently focused on how Elkins obtained an assault-style weapon despite a previous felony conviction.

The community has held vigils to mourn the victims, who ranged in age from 3 to 11 years old.
