Rare Blue Micro Moon Arriving

Stargazers across Britain are preparing for a unique astronomical display this weekend.

The 'Blue Micro Moon' will appear smaller and less bright than a typical full moon, as it reaches its apogee during the lunar cycle.

This particular occurrence is extra special as it coincides with the sacred Adhik Purnima in the Hindu calendar.

Weather permitting, the moon will be visible alongside a rare conjunction of Venus and Jupiter low in the western sky after sunset.
