Georgia Congressman David Scott Dies

Scott, who represented Georgia’s thirteenth district since 2003, was seeking a thirteenth term in office despite ongoing concerns regarding his health.

His death slightly narrows the Republican majority in the House, marking the fifth time a member of the current Congress has died in office.
