Syria’s Al-Sharaa Open to Israel Security Deal

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said his country will not intervene militarily in Lebanon and is seeking a security agreement with Israel.

In a wide-ranging interview, he praised Turkey and Saudi Arabia for helping lift US sanctions.

Al-Sharaa stressed that any deal would not compromise Syria’s right to the occupied Golan Heights.

He also ruled out military action against Hezbollah, aiming to enable the Lebanese state to disarm the group peacefully.
