Traffic co-founder Dave Mason dies

The music world is mourning the loss of Dave Mason, a prolific songwriter who penned classic hits such as 'Feelin' Alright?' and 'Only You Know and I Know.' Beyond his work with Traffic, Mason enjoyed a successful solo career and collaborated with icons including The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and George Harrison.

His family confirmed he died in his sleep following a period of declining health that had forced him to retire from touring.

Mason's legacy as a foundational figure of the 1960s and 70s rock era remains cemented by his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
