White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has announced the birth of her second child, a baby girl named Viviana.

Leavitt, the first person to give birth while serving in the role, will take an unspecified amount of maternity leave.

She shared a touching photo of the newborn on social media, stating that 'Vivi' is perfect and healthy.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been filling in for Leavitt at the White House press podium during her absence.

The 28-year-old press secretary and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, also have a toddler son named Niko.
