Netherlands approves Tesla self-driving

The RDW, the Netherlands’ vehicle authority, granted provisional approval for the driver assistance system, provided a human operator remains behind the wheel.

This landmark authorisation marks a significant victory for Tesla as it seeks to expand its autonomous technology beyond the North American market.

The decision will now be reviewed by the European Commission for potential continent-wide certification.

While safety advocates remain cautious, the Dutch government framed the move as a step toward more efficient and technologically advanced transportation.
