Djokovic Fights Through Paris Heat

The 24-time Grand Slam champion was ruthlessly booed by the Parisian crowd during his nearly four-hour match against the French youngster.

Djokovic criticized the hostile atmosphere and called for matches to be rescheduled during the extreme heatwave, which saw temperatures on court exceed 35C. Several other players, including Jakub Mensik, collapsed during their matches, prompting an urgent review of the tournament's extreme weather policy.

Despite the conditions, Djokovic's victory allowed him to equal Roger Federer's record for the most consecutive third-round appearances at Roland Garros.
