Actor Sam Neill Dies Aged 78

Sam Neill, the acclaimed New Zealand actor best known for his roles in 'Jurassic Park' and 'The Piano,' died suddenly at age 78.

Tributes poured in from co-stars, with Jeff Goldblum saying 'the next great adventure begins' and others including Laura Dern and Steven Spielberg remembering him as a 'true and noble gentleman.' Neill, who was born in Northern Ireland and raised in New Zealand, had a career spanning five decades.

He was also a winemaker and shared his dream of filmmaking in one of his final public reflections.
