Don Schlitz Dies at 73

A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Schlitz won three Grammy Awards and was named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year four times.

His extensive catalog includes classics like 'Forever and Ever, Amen' for Randy Travis and 'When You Say Nothing at All' for Keith Whitley.

Schlitz's storytelling ability defined an era of country music and inspired generations of artists.

He passed away in a Nashville hospital surrounded by his family.
