Trump maintains Iran naval blockade

President Donald Trump has rejected a proposal from Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for ending the US naval blockade.

Trump insisted the siege will continue until a comprehensive nuclear deal is reached, describing the Iranian regime as "choking like a stuffed pig." The President's top military advisers are set to brief him on new options for military action designed to force Iran back to the negotiating table and end the war.

Meanwhile, the Iranian rial has hit a record low as the economic clash intensifies.
